What is a QA Analyst?
A quality assurance analyst is an individual who implements principles and practices of software quality assurance throughout the entire software development cycle. This includes software design, testing, coding, requirements management, and release management.
The role of a quality assurance analyst involves collaborating with business analysts and development teams to design and execute software testing, approving test results, and communicating issues to stakeholders.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web and mobile applications
- Identify, record, and track bugs through to resolution, working closely with developers to verify fixes
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing across releases
- Review requirements and specifications to ensure testability and completeness
- Maintain clear, up-to-date documentation of test coverage and known issues
- Champion quality practices across the team, from code review to release sign-off
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in a QA or software testing role
- Familiarity with manual and automated testing tools (e.g. Selenium, Postman, Cypress)
- Understanding of the full software development lifecycle
- Strong attention to detail and clear written communication
- Comfortable working closely with developers, designers, and product managers
